EPOCH Spring 2025
During the Spring semester of 2025, in UNIV-068, I used the documents prepared during the Fall semester to analyze the connection to my assigned slave named Rose. I used different tools and techniques to research Rose's connections she had between the Custis's and the Custis slaves. While also theorizing the deeper meaning behind Rose's connections and presenting them to a formal genealogical society.
I began my analysis of Rose during the Spring semester of 2025, using the documents I organized for her during the Fall semester. What I managed to find not only revealed to me who Rose might have been, but also the formal work behind genealogy.
After I completed my research for Rose, my internship director offered my coworker and me to present our work to the Virginia Beach Genealogical Society.
