Advance Composition Major Essays
This page is dedicated to major essays #1 to #3 for Professor Sarah M. Lacy in ENGL 327W. Throughout my work, I showcase my skills as a writer and researcher. Analyzing both academic sources, and my experiences as a writer.
Essay #1 focuses on my thoughts on writing style while synthesizing the perspectives of writers Gerald Graff and Donald Murray. By comparing my experiences as a writer with their perspective on writing style, I develop a new view on writing style overall.
Project/Essay #2 are two essays discussing why the public thinks the Humanities are dying by analyzing the view of Academics and the News. Through their views, I find out why the Humanities carry such a negative connotation and find solutions to what the Humanities can do to improve its public image.
Essay #3 explores my view on toxic masculinity and how it still stays in Western culture despite the issues it causes men. I use my experiences in 2020 and scholarly research to look into toxic masculinity and the negativity it spreads.
